I led a small engineering squad of three, focusing on technical mentorship and architecture. Under the hood, I worked with Scala and Spark to process over 10M+ daily ad records via Airflow and AWS EMR, managing to slash our EMR costs by 40% along the way. I also spent a lot of time building out fast, event-driven pipelines utilising AWS ECS, SNS/SQS, and Lambda.

I built and shipped Golang microservices that kept data flowing smoothly from sources like Google Ads and Facebook Ads. It was my job to make sure our pipelines could scale and aggregate all that advertising data efficiently, keeping our MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases healthy. I also maintained our GitLab CI/CD pipelines to make deployments a breeze.

I designed and rolled out a custom analytics dashboard that replaced a clunky legacy system, dropping load times from 8 seconds down to just 1 second. I got to work directly with the users to figure out exactly how the old metric formulas worked, and then brought everything to life using responsive Vue.js UIs powered by Golang on the backend.

I built out a full-stack internal admin panel for handling complex permits using Golang, JS, and Postgres. I also made life easier for our clients by creating an automated on-premise installer, and prototyped a cool math-heavy cargo placement tool to optimise weight distribution across truck axles.
